Sarah & Brandon are one of those couples you meet and instantaneously feel like you’ve known them forever. They are are relaxed, fun, and always up for an adventure. They also have two sweet pups and one of them got to join us on the wedding day. 🙂
They both went to Notre Dame yet interestingly they did not meet there. In fact, they officially met for the first time at what is arguably the worst bar in DC through a mutual friend. The story goes that Brandon was implored to come out that night to help convince this friend-of-a-friend to move to DC. By the end of the evening Brandon offhandedly said, “That girl could be trouble for me.” A statement quickly greeted with a dubious laugh.
Sarah & Brandon truly embrace thinking, doing, and being out of the box. We did a graffiti themed engagement session with them and by the end of the night, Brandon was legit tagging a wall! I posted a few of my favorites on Instagram. Brandon had a lot of great ideas for the engagement session and he also had a hand in the design of the paper products at the wedding. He is an architect so as you can imagine a lot of the wedding design was important to him.
In my opinion, all weddings run smoother when you have a good planner. This is even more so the case when you have a couple with such an offbeat, funky style. It takes a lot to pull all of these different elements together in a cohesive, elegant manor. Sara with Bella Notte really did a fantastic job with their wedding. When you walked into Dock 5, the ambiance immediately hit you. It was an industrial urban vibe. It was so fresh and so cool, I am really excited to share this one with you.
